Rotterdam Port Area Heat Route
Heat pipelines are being laid between Shell and Hoogvliet.
Shell, Warmtebedrijf Rotterdam, and Port of Rotterdam Authority are joining forces to realise this Vondelingenwarmte Project. Objective: Improving the energy efficiency of the waste heat released by the Shell Pernis refinery. This project makes it possible to heat 16,000 households sustainably. The project contributes to achieving the energy saving targets from the Energy Agreement. This concerns a branch off the already constructed "Nieuwe Warmteweg" located at Shell Pernis on Vondelingenweg. For this project, residual heat is introduced into the main pipeline structure of De Nieuwe Warmteweg via a transport pipeline.
Contract management during the construction team phase
Aratis, on behalf of the Port of Rotterdam Authority, contracted the construction team partner together with the Procurement department and was responsible for contract management during the construction team phase.
