Westtangent Construction Team
The HOV Westtangent project was implemented to create a reliable and faster connection between residential and working areas.
This project consists of several sub-projects spread across the route of the current bus connection, including the construction of dedicated bus lanes and combined tram/bus lanes.
Aratis took care of the procurement and contract management for all sub-projects. Multiple contract forms and tendering procedures were used for this purpose. The largest sub-project was carried out by a construction team. The contractor, the GVB and the municipality of Amsterdam jointly prepared the plans within this construction team. This resulted in a well-thought-out plan that could then be implemented.
