The last set of blades for Windplanblauw being transported...

On Tuesday 12 March, the last three blades for Windplanblauw were loaded onto the so-called “Feeder barge” in Amsterdam's Alaskahaven.

These rotor blades, measuring almost 80 metres in length, are intended for wind turbine 24 on the IJsselmeer lake near the Ketelbrug bridge on the A6 motorway. Together with the 37 wind turbines already in operation around Swifterbant, this will be the 61st and final wind turbine of Windplanblauw.

At ARATIS, we are proud to be working with our project partners on the construction management of this wonderful project. Today, we would like to express our special thanks to our colleague Rob Westerhuis for supervising the work carried out by GE and Mammoet in the port of Amsterdam.

Depending on the weather, the 61st wind turbine will also be installed this month, making a significant contribution to making the Netherlands more sustainable!
