Vattenfal/Nuon Wind farm Wieringermeer
This large 'repowering' project mainly consists of partially removing the existing wind farm infrastructure, including the wind turbine foundations.
Subsequently, the construction of new infrastructure will begin, including all park roads, crane assembly areas, SCADA infrastructure, the park's cabling and customer substations, collectively known as the Balance of Plant, and of course the 82 new wind turbines with a capacity of approximately 4 MW.
Tendering process
Aratis is assisting with the preparation and tendering of the engineering, construction, and installation of the complete wind farm in collaboration with Nuon. In this regard, we are responsible for the procurement process for the Balance of Plant lot under UAV-gc conditions and the wind turbine lot under FIDIC 'yellow' conditions. Aratis will deploy two experienced procurement managers per lot.
By the end of 2017, the contracts will be ready for award. The implementation phase will begin in 2018. The Balance of Plant is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2019, after which the turbines can be installed for commissioning in mid-2019.
