TenneT Offshore NL – Net at Sea

Following the Energy Agreement, the Dutch government has designated TenneT to connect new offshore wind farms.

About the project

TenneT will build five offshore high-voltage stations and connections (Borssele Alpha and Beta, Hollandse Kust Zuid Alpha and Beta, and Hollandse Kust Noord), each connecting two 700MW offshore wind farms to the mainland via two 220 kV cables (AC). On land, the cables are connected to the national high-voltage grid. In this program, TenneT places a high value on standardisation and repetition of the five projects.

Contractmanagement

Aratis has been supporting TenneT's Offshore NL team in contract management for the development of the Net on Sea program since 2015. Aratis' team at TenneT has grown along with the program.

Borssele Project Tender

Aratis managed the contract for support in implementing FIDIC as a contract form and for draughting the requirements specification for the EU tenders for the platforms and submarine cable for the Borssele offshore wind farms. Aratis also performed the interface management for the development of this requirements specification. Additionally, through training sessions, FIDIC knowledge and methodology were transferred to various levels of TenneT's Offshore NL team. For the execution of the Borssele offshore cable and platform tenders, Aratis is managing the contract at various levels.

Project Borssele Implementation

Aratis is also strengthening the Borssele execution team. Not only did the senior contract manager continue their role in the execution phase after the award, but two other team members from Aratis were also added.

Hollandse Kust (South) Project Tender

After the Borssele tenders, Aratis provided support in the 'lessons learnt' process to implement them in the tender documentation for Hollandse Kust (Zuid) (HKZ). Aratis set up and supported the process of adapting the Borssele ITT to the HKZ ITT with two contract managers.
